Roc Outdoor Adventure can offer bespoke guided walking adventures throughout Wales, and can be for small or larger groups of up to 12.

ROC Outdoors always have a plan “B” It’s inevitable that things don’t always go as planned. Mountain weather can change rapidly for the worse, having a guide on hand can both keep you safer. The guide may also be able to detect the signs of a changes in weather conditions, thus, allowing time to prepare with waterproofs. ROC Outdoors will always have another option for you so you don’t waste any precious holiday or recreational time.
History and Culture of the Area
A guide possesses a wealth of knowledge about the local area. Wales is full of historical buildings, facts, and cultural anecdotes. Guides give your hike and the landscapes you are experiencing a context you might not get on your own.
Local Recommendations
All of our guides are local to the area or have had many years guiding experience within the area and are happy to provide ideas for where the locals go so you can really experience local food and drink.
Safety
ROC Outdoors hopes that you may never have to deal with an outdoor emergency. However, many people feel better having a first-aid-trained guide on hand in case of injury. Our guide is a qualified Mountain Leader with the Mountain Training Association (MTA).
Our Guides carry first aid kits and are ITC Level 3 in Outdoor First Aid qualified. They also are qualified in Outdoor Emergency Action and Outdoor Incident Management; therefore, they will know what to do if you run into trouble. This will give you the peace of mind to allow you to simply enjoy your walking experience.
Additional Safety Considerations
It is important that you recognise that hill/mountain walking and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions.
